Tetragrammacide - Cyber-Tantric Paradigm of Radical Sri-Vidya LP
SHIPS EARLY NOVEMBER.
Indian war metal esotericists Tetragrammacide are back to follow their magnificent second album with a brand new EP. Out via Iron Bonehead Productions on September 26th.
Sonic abrasions begin our descent into madness with cybernetic warfare being prepared. Primeval riffing and tribal drumming mania fire into an onslaught of bestial triumph with apocalyptic spew serving as vocals. The raw, needle-pushing savagery of Tetragrammacide is unmistakable. Returning to a more untamed assault with an equally wild production, the ferocity of the band never rests on a singular idea as dissonant flare interrupts animalistic fury. This band has moved from strength to strength and the first few minutes of this offering have my hopes very high for the bountiful destruction we are about to receive. The pounding, crackling rhythm sections tie into the serpentine majesty of the guitars while the bludgeoning vocal delivery is suitably vengeful. Balancing the technical abilities they have mastered with such a forceful and ruthless style; Tetragrammacide hold down their own style of extremity with a supreme execution.
Caustic guitars never stop shifting through the underworld as the rumbling bass contorts with snake-like venom atop mountains of cavernous drums. The entire instrumental section is at the pinnacle of extremity while the vocals scornfully push you over the precipice. Listening to this record will set you ablaze with ecstasy, anxiety and malice as the band continually charge through section after section of inventive martial punishment. Few bands in this day and age can achieve such militant evil convincingly but I knew the Kolkata maniacs would not fail in their mission. Bask in the cosmic radiation of their interstellar death rays and feel the terrors of spiritual warfare being unleashed upon you. Absolute monumental madness delivered in under twenty minutes, for the mind nor body could survive no more.
This trinity offers up total nuclear alchemy. Each track is a magnificent purging of the spirit with war-like aggression, elitist musicianship and utter barbarity all pushed into overdrive. Not for the faint of heart, this takes the unfiltered savagery of their early works and mixes it with the technical yet dissonant expansion of their recent full length. A superb example of Tetragrammacide and the excellence they have to offer. A resplendent opus of chaos, disdain, spirituality and violence…
